Don't get me wrong, I love, love, LOVE my wetjet mop. It gets up dirty messes and is much more effective than the mess made using the old mop and bucket. I've used it for years, but since I began
couponing in earnest, and added up the cost of my wetjet® + the disposable solution refills + disposable pads and batteries, I realized this is not economical. I still will use my wetjet from time to time for deep cleaning but have changed to a Libman® mop for everyday use.
I purchased my Libman® freedom mop @ 40% off from Rite Aid, made it less than $15 and a $5 rebate, plus the reusable pad was included. The pad is washable/reusable, it has a detachable, refillable solution bottle so I can mix my own solution, and needs no batteries. As the surfaces in my home are all hard except for the closets and need to be mopped at least a couple of times per week my savings are substantial ($8-$12 weekly).
Solution: I use a few TBS. of distilled white vinegar........... variation several drops scent or lemon juice. I have a friend who uses vinegar and mild dish soap but I'm afraid that would make the floor slippery. (Cost: pennies per use)
Responding to new laws that went into effect in 17 states July, (http://www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/wq/nonpoint/phosphorus/law.html ) many of the nation’s major detergent makers have reformulated their products to reduce the level of phosphates present. Even if you are not in one of these states do you think the manufacturers are making special formulas just for the remaining states......
We got so much buildup in our NEW dishwasher that it quit working. The technician said that we would need to use two or three products every time we run the washer and these ultra expensive stand
alone products that may be run through with no dishes. We are still trying to get all the phosphorus off the heating element as only two our our dishwasher settings work. This has meant the consumption of 3 - 4X more hot water and the purchase of tons of products. Yesterday, I got a great tip from a Publix employee..... she told me to put up all the expensive items and buy lemon Kool Aid and run it through w/o dishes w/ hottest setting (I used 5 packets... $1). IT WORKED!!! I don't know how often we will need to do this to keep the dishwasher working and clean but it worked better than any of the expensive products I've been using. If you are having similar problems w/ your dishwasher ask the manufacturer if this would be safe for your machine.
What is the deal with the show "Two and One Half Men"
Charlie Sheen a/k/a Carlos Irwin Estévez has provided decades of entertainment for millions of fans but now it appears that in his time of need the media is having a field day of his apparent personality change. Is he having a meltdown?? Whatever is going on with this guy I doubt his lifestyle is more unusual ..... unhealthy.... unorthodox than some other famous people (i.e. want to read a whole lotta' weird, check out: http://chucklorre.com/index.php?p=334, http://content.usatoday.com/communities/entertainment/post/2011/03/chuck-lorre-responds-to-charlie-sheen-/1 Sheen is apparently "battling") the difference is that he is letting his freak side hang out and the obvious behavioral change from the more controlled interviews of the past. As funny as some of the comments he made in recent days, he is still flesh & blood, not merely a brand. The media loves to build people up and when they hit an apex knock them back down. How many people boast and play a part for the world when on the inside they are love starved? This guy needs prayer, love, true friends and family.
