Amazing and moving song by Nick Cannon "Can I Live" thanking his Mom for not aborting him.  Apparently she tried several times but changed her mind and the last time heard a voice and decided not to go through it.

Lucid Dreaming

Lucid Dreaming, is a term coined by social progressive, bohemian Dutch author,  physician and poet, Frederik Willem van Eeden.  Like many of the prominent European a vant garde intellectual elites"  of his time, as great as his insight (for this era) as a physician, his understanding  of the essence of human nature in regard to social compacts/contracts was infantile, a naive Utopian fantasy at best.

Ultimately,  living his fantasy Utopian dream and long held  belief  "Where mankind is, and her woe, there is my path," on Walden, an agricultural colony based on the ideas of Thoreau, his standard of living was reduced as is always the case with collective constructs (except for the puppet master elites).  Interestingly, later in life, he apparently  put his faith in the being higher than the Tachtigers,  "romantic" communists, Dutch Socialist Democratic Party, communists, etc., he ultimately put his faith in God,  joining the the Roman Catholic Church.

Did  the experiments in socialism and communism crashing around the world with the deaths of millions by Godless totalitarian states  induce this change?  Today is no different in that when people put their faith in and give away our freedom to men,  particularly in constructs which go against human nature such as collectivism, the result is always repression, stagnation and death (more than one hundred million, perhaps one hundred fifty million or more deaths in the 20th century

The "philosopher," who lives from inheritance,  and/or grants, "tax monies," etc. , and/or hides behind ivory towers, who has never raised the sword to protect anyone nor created a job or anything else, who lacks humility, possesses no practical experience,  congratulates and celebrates himself at every turn, raises the glass and  entertains  artists and entertainers, vacations like a King,  while jobs are lost, gas prices have doubled,  and food stamp dependency has become as common fleas, illegal immigration (and the jobs lost that goes along with this illegal activity) runs rampant it seems apparent that the "philosopher" should not be "King."

Beginners With Little Time For Couponing

If you have little time for couponing you may start small by just paying attention to Publix weekly BOGO deals that usually begin on Wednesdays (same as free item day in middle TN).  If you only stock up on these items that would be a nice savings over time..... if it is only $20 a week using zero coupons plus the weekly free item that would be more than 1,000.00 savings in a year.  Nothing to sneeze at.

Couple this savings with their in store coupon brochures and you could add maybe another $10+  a week, now we are over $1,500.00 w/o coupons....... Imagine how your savings will grow if you couple this with coupon stacking (using both a store and manufacturer coupon per item.. as of this writing Publix allows you to do this on both BOGO items!!!!!) .... woohoo..... the savings will pile up rapidly.  Soon you may be hooked! I've couponed all my life, however, for the past 6 months I've been stacking coupons and participating on online blogs, (just began scratch cooking ~~ not every night; lol) etc. and my savings between retail, grocery and drug store is in excess of $1,000 monthly.

"Discouraged Over Extreme Couponing"

One of the ladies at Krazy Coupon Lady  who participated in the TLC Extreme Coupon show wrote a great article in regard the fact the results from the shopping trips on the extreme coupons shows are not typical and take many hours preparation.  Also the article includes links to yearly sales cycles  and rock bottom price list to show the price point for which we should be aiming.  To read the article please click this link KCL .

I'm A Couponer and Not Interested in Leftist Environmental Jackassery or Political Tomfoolery

I want to regurgitate when encountering people who join online communities of which they little or no interest other than to try to spread EcoMarxism.

I don't worship Gaia; I'm not a useful idiot..... Call me crazy, but I don't care what PETA, an organization that kills animals and describes pet ownership as a "selfish desire to possess animals and receive love from them causes immeasurable suffering" has to say;  my pets are part of our family, not a collection of furry slaves.

Again, not a useful idiot,  don't care about the propaganda of the far left groups... Food Inc., TakePart, Social Action Network, Participant Media and on and on and on.

We shall consume as we see fit and with any corporation  we desire and, (for example,  if others decide to eat fried everything while we are ordering a fruit plate, fruit smoothie, etc,  so be it, not my business... and who knows if said persons are having a rare treat or this is their daily habit) it is not the business of anyone but the individual making the decision(s).

If I want to use soap, moisturizer, a razor,  makeup, feminine products,  or any product of civility that is my business and I don't care  to go back to the days of the dirt and cave people..... no hairy woman in this house.  If I want to purchase and watch TV, cable, a BIG vehicle, etc.  that is my business.

Lastly, I have no desire to redistribute our Country for the sake of  "global equality, social justice/a/k/a Marxism" so we can all be equally poor and have just what a body of elites (who never practice what they preach - Marx said "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need"  however he sat on his backside, refining his theories allowing four of his seven children to die in poverty instead of getting out and earning a living.... lazy ass,  lived off  what funds he could get from his friend who got his funds from family money ) decide we should have.

Anyone who doubts that America is a great Country whose innovations have made the world a better place should read the 5000 Year Leap.

Maximum Freedom = Minimum Government

The most famous libertarian and the most beautiful rock star and best singer of all time; had Freddie Mercury survived I think he would have looked like Stossel looks today.  Freddie left a wealth of beautiful music, art and videos;  Stossel continues to save the citizenry from the entrenchment of loyalty to the two major political machines.

Freezing Berries

How to Freeze Food

Freezing Berries:

Blueberries or Huckleberries

From National Center For Home Food Preservation
Preparation – Select full-flavored, ripe berries. Remove leaves, stems and immature or defective berries.
Dry Pack – Do not wash blueberries. Washing results in a tougher skinned product. Pack berries into containers, leaving headspace. Berries can also be frozen first on a tray and then packed into containers as soon as they are frozen. Seal and freeze. Wash before using.
Crushed or Puréed – Wash the blueberries. Crush, press berries through a fine sieve, or purée in a blender or food processor. Mix 1 to 1 1/8 cups of sugar with each quart (2 pounds) of crushed berries or purée. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pack into containers, leaving headspace. Seal and freeze.

Couponers: Below listed is a great article in regard who uses coupons

Smart Rich Responsible People Love Coupons
By Cynthia Boris on October 26, 2010

Here are some highlights from the above-mentioned article:

When you think of coupon clippers, you probably picture a stay-at-home-mom snipping in front of the TV in order stretch the family budget. But according to a poll, that’s not completely true.
MyType conducted the poll on behalf of and they returned some surprising results, like the fact that “People with household incomes in excess of $100,000 per year are roughly two times more likely to be coupon lovers.”
So this is how the rich get richer!
Being an avid couponer myself, I was happy to see that the poll categorized me as being an imaginative, extravert who is socially responsible. I can buy that (but only if you give me $1.00 off.)
Here are a few more “coupon lover” facts:
* People who consider the environment of utmost importance are the most likely to be coupon lovers – 37% more likely than others.
* College-educated people are 78% more likely than the non-college educated to be coupon lovers.
* Parents are 48% more likely than non-parents to be coupon lovers.
* Northeasterners are 66% more likely than West Coasters to be coupon lovers.
* The middle-aged are more likely than younger generations to have a strong opinion about online coupons.
* Coupon lovers are 220% more likely than abstainers to highly value tradition, and 96% more likely to highly value self-direction.
* Devoutly religious people are 31% more likely to be coupon lovers and substantially less likely to be coupon abstainers.
* Libertarians are 47% more likely to be online coupon users.
Profile of a coupon “hater”:
* Self-identified insecure, temperamental people are 33% more likely to be abstainers.
* Detached, sophisticated, careless and procrastinating people are also each at least 20% more likely to be coupon abstainers.
* Men are 27% more likely to be coupon abstainers.
* Insecure, low-income men are the quintessential coupon abstainers, being 130% more likely to avoid online coupons. Those with household incomes of less than $50,000 per year are a fifth as likely to be coupon lovers.

Favorite Restaurant in Vegas: Casa Di Amore

Dined at Casa di Amore for our anniversary and plan to make it our new tradition, as well as a fun place to take friends for our Vegas vacations as well.  So much fun and a song in honor of our anniversary.

The Italian American restaurant  Casa di Amore serves the best authentic Italian food we've experienced in Las Vegas.  "Vegas the way it used to be," photographs of the old casinos, the Rat Pack, Elvis, entertainers of the quality era, live music and great employees..... a warm, cozy vibe.... like being transported to the 50's/60's glam era.  A rare commodity indeed, flawless service, seamless delivery, one can not help but feel that the employees really care about the customers.

Truly a worthwhile, delightful dining experience;  everything about the restaurant screams old Vegas........ think Frank, Dean and Sammy who apparently did enjoy Casa di Amore  .  It is located off the strip, but well worth the trip; in fact phone in your reservations in advance and they may arrange  transportation in their limo from most resort casinos (complimentary). The restaurant also features a bar, gaminglive entertainment and banquet facilities.

    • 1 lb. of fresh, very thin fettuccine noodles
    • 6 oz. butter, unsalted
    • 6 oz. Parmigiano Reggiano cheese (aged 24 months), grated
THIS RECIPE FOR the Original Fettuccine Alfredo was created in 1914 by Alfredo Di Lelio, concocted to tempt the palate of his pregnant wife who had lost her appetite.
Until now, the Original Fettuccine Alfredo has been a secret recipe, passed on from generation to generation. At the Alfredo restaurants, the fettuccine noodles are made fresh daily from a mix of three different flours, durum and organic eggs. For home use, however, the cook can purchase fresh fettuccine noodles at most supermarkets and delis.
Cook the fettuccine noodles in 1 gallon of salted boiling water for three minutes. At the same time, mix the butter at room temperature in a bowl with the grated cheese until the cheese almost dissolves, forming a smooth cream. If using a mixer, this should not take more than three minutes at which time the noodles will be ready. Strain the pasta leaving just a small amount of water and toss the noodles with the Alfredo sauce. Plate the preparation. Cheese lovers may want to sprinkle additional grated cheese on top.
